Saturday 1 August Summer Event The day time activities will centre around Oakwell Hall, a splendid Elizabethan manor house and the Red House, the 17th century home of a prosperous cloth manufacturer and merchant. Both properties had connections to the Brontes in real life and also in fiction. The houses open at 12 noon - there is an admission charge of £2 to Oakwell Hall and free admission to the Red House.
