Wednesday, 4 March

Club Night and Bar Meal - at the Old Golf House Hotel hosted by Cathryn. There will be a bar meal at 7.30pm for those who want one. However, please phone the host at least 24hrs beforehand so that a table can be booked. Club Night from 8.00pm onwards.

Thursday 5 March

Film - at the Rex cinema, Elland: Revolutionary Road, starring Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio, based on the 1962 novel by Richard Yates.

Friday 6 March

Deadline for booking "Le Grand Cirque" - Anyone interested in going to see Le Grand Cirque at Bradford Alhambra on Wednesday 29 April 2009.

Saturday 7 March

Reading Night - Come along with a book you have enjoyed (or even hated!) or one you are reading at present, and tell us about it. Supper provided.

Saturday 7 March

Concert at Kirkheaton Parish Church - at 7.30. A good mix with Joan jive dancing in the aisles to raise funds for the urgently needed counselling domestic abuse service.

Wednesday 11 March

Club Night - Hosted by Sylvia. From 8.00pm onwards at the Old Golf House Hotel. Film and Theatre Group meets at 8.30pm.

Thursday 12 March

Bar Meal - A £7 special meal (3 courses) or a bar meal off the menu - or just call in for a drink later. Meet at the Lower Royal George pub, Scammonden - real ales available!

Friday 13 March

Film Night - Tonight's film at Hepworth Village Hall (near Holmfirth) is 'The Counterfeiters' - the true story of a counterfeit operation planned to flood and destroy the Allied economies, and those who were forced to help the Nazis in this biggest money scam of all time. In German with English subtitles. Doors open 7 pm to start 7:30. Tickets £3 on the door, bar available.

Saturday 14 March

A Walk on Norland Moor - Meet at The Moorings pub next to the canal at Sowerby Bridge (free parking) for a 4-mile walk up to Norland Moor and back, possibly calling at The Moorcock for a drink en route.

Meal: A long overdue return to Monsoon in Slaithwaite for one of the best curries around.

Sunday 22 March

Ice Skating at Bradford Arena, 19 Little Horton Lane, Bradford. Meet outside the venue at 7.15 for 7.30 up to 10.00pm on the ice. Cost approx. £6.80 including skate hire. Refreshments available.

Club Night - Hosted by Margaret. From 8.00pm onwards at the Old Golf House Hotel.

Friday 27 March

Scrabble - For the last Scrabble evening of the season. New and previous players are all welcome; tea, coffee and snacks provided.

Saturday 28 March

Haydn's "Creation" at Holmfirth Civic Centre, 7.15pm. Holmfirth Choral - this is Ken Rothery's farewell concert.
