Walk - Wharncliffe Chase and Crags
A 7 mile walk through the rolling countryside around Wharncliffe Chase affording spectacular views over Dark Peak and Stocksbridge. To reach the start of the walk drive through Wortley, on the A629. About 250 metres after the Church turn right down a minor road. In less than 1 Kilometre you will see an Equestrian Centre on the right. Use this car park named Cote Green on the transpennine trail.

Club Night - Hosted by Sylvia. From 8.00pm onwards at the Old Golf House Hotel. The Film and Theatre Group meets at 8.30pm. Deadline for booking the Sound of Music at the Bradford Alhambra (see entry under future events).

Easter Sunday 12 April
A Walk in the Yorkshire Dales
Meet 11 am at the National Park Information Centre in Malham for a 7-mile walk up Pikedaw Hill and on to Watersinks, returning down the Dry Valley and Malham Cove. This is an excellent high-level walk in limestone country passing the remains of Nappa Cross and other sites of interest. Bring a packed lunch. Teashop and/or pub food available afterwards if you want to linger a while.

Social Walk - Meet at Slaithwaite long stay car park in New Street , Slaithwaite (very near to Colne Valley Leisure Centre). Stroll along canal and return by good paths with some woodland. Very easy going and very slight hill. Strong shoes or boots. A good hour walking followed by refreshments in Vanilla Bean Café and Ice cream parlour (Drinks, cakes or more substantial meals).

Concert at Huddersfield Town Hall, (7:30pm). Huddersfield Philharmonic Orchestra: Brahms: Symphony no2; Stravinsky: Firebird Suite (1919); Mozart: Flute Concerto (K314). Tickets around £9.50 plus concessions.
