Contemporary Dance - At the Lawrence Batley Theatre, Main stage 7.30pm.
Verve, the award-winning postgraduate performance company of the Northern School of Contemporary Dance visits LBT with a mixed bill of new dance works specially commissioned from international choreographers Filip Van Huffel (Belgium), Glenn Wilkinson (UK) and Milan Kozánek (Slovakia).
In addition, a number of dance artists emerging from the North of England have also created 'shorts' for the Verve 09 repertoire; they include Jennifer-Lynn Crawford, Katie Baldwin and Leanne Pike.
This exciting programme brings together the best in European and British contemporary dance and is performed by an international line-up of eleven dancers. The dancers, originating from the UK, South Korea, Belgium and Sweden, are selected graduates from leading conservatoires and universities.

Concert at Huddersfield Town Hall - at 7:30. The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra play Mahler's Symphony No.4 with soprano Elisabeth Watts telling the musical story of 'a child's vision of heaven'.
Tickets in the area £11 plus concessions at £9.

Evening Walk - 'Plots and Plotters'
Meet 7 pm at Roberttown church (off A62 Huddersfield-Leeds road) for a 4-mile walk around Hartshead, featuring 'plots' of all varieties! This walk is featured in Kirklees 'What's On' guide, so please make any visitors feel welcome.
