News from Down Under (Oz)

Greetings from Down Under,
It has been a very busy time for me since I last wrote to you all, so much so that I have just had a weekend of very much needed respite. I stayed in an apartment in a little town about 60km south of Perth and had a very lazy time with lots of reading, eating, swimming etc. My parents are going well now and are able to do most things on their own now, but I am still doing loads of gardening, washing, shopping etc. They certainly have improved and religiously do their exercises and spend time walking around their garden each day.
The academic year finishes here in 5 weeks time so I will not be teaching at my current school after that but will hopefully get some supply work when the new year starts in February. Before that I am planning to visit friends in both Sydney and Melbourne for a couple of weeks.
My son Lucas arrives from Sweden in a few days for a 2 month holiday and I am very excited as I have not seen him for nearly 3 years. My daughter and grandchildren are all well and I spend at least 3 nights a week with them which gives me lots of time to read stories to them and do general babysitting. I have not been doing anything else very much as there doesn't seem to be time. However, now that the weather is warming up I'm hoping to be able to go to the beach and spend more time outside, and I think about you all very often as I hear from Paul that your weather has not been good.
